This job is still in the early stages of production: a metal staircase to be mounted over a garden pond. The customer needed a compact run of steps with decorative, grip-friendly treads - something that looks considered in a garden setting, not a standard industrial stair.
Work started in CAD. We modelled the stringer, treads and fixing plates, then printed working drawings with sizes, weld notes and the laser-cut pattern for the treads. That pattern is dense and decorative so water drains and feet grip, and so the stair reads as a garden piece rather than a mill stair.
On the shop floor the first frame is already in square hollow section: mitred corners, welds dressed, ready for treads and mounts. Laser cutting and welding will complete the decorative pans and the structure before finish and install.
This is typical of how we take a one-off architectural job from sketch to steel - design, cut, weld, under one roof in Birmingham. If you have a similar stair, bridge or garden structure, send a drawing or photo of the site and we will quote.
